Our Chapel seats 150 people and overlooks our largest trout dam. It is an open thatched church with natural stone found on Cranford farm. Alternatively you could have your ceremony in our beautiful gardens. You also have the choice of our Lapa on the dam which can be draped to create a lovely outdoor ceremony.

Situated just 8 km's outside Pietermaritzburg, Ishona Langa Wildlife Sanctuary is the ideal venue for that dream wedding, conference or perfect function. The canopy of the indigenous acacias creates a tranquil bushveld mood in which to relax and enjoy yourself.

We have a variety of facilities at your disposal all designed to accommodate your individual needs in creating the perfect occasion. Our tailor made packages complement our facilities, allowing you to suit your requirements perfectly. All our packages includes the cost of the Venue and Chapel hiring.

Pecanwood is situated on 50 acres of prime land with spectacular views, approximately 15km outside Pietermaritzburg, in picturesque, tranquil Birnam Wood. It is halfway between Hilton and Howick. We have rolling green lawns, tree covered hills, forestation, and views of the Drakensberg.  This is Africa, in a very relaxed setting!

The size of our property makes it ideal for launching and promoting vehicles and machinery et cetera. We specialize in functions with flair and have a reputation for our cuisine and Festive functions, including weddings.

The Secret Garden is a family owned business, between my wife Dana and I, we have more than 20 years in hospitality industry. Our experience includes time working at Walt Disney World in USA  as well as managing and working in restaurants and hotels in South Africa, England, France & Ireland.

The Secret Garden is nestled in the hills of Bisley, and overlooks our private game ranch which is stocked with over 500 animals, ranging from giraffe ( which can often be seen from our venue's verandah ) to zebra, kudu and the very rare oribi antelope.

This family run wedding venue speaks for itself. The 18th century stone barn overlooks the rolling KZN sugar lands and provides the perfect setting for a romantic and intimate wedding.

From it's gorgeous venue, thatched lapa and beautiful gardens, to all its nooks and crannies, Thorpe Lodge has everything to make your dream wedding a reality.We pride ourselves in the care and professionalism that is taken in making your wedding the unique and unforgettable day that it should be while comfortably seating 145 guests.

The White Horse Wedding & Function Room is situated alongside the racecourse at the Golden Horse Casino, Scottsville, Pietermaritzburg. Ample, convenient and secure parking is available with easy access to the White Horse. The security within the complex is excellent. The recently renovated venue is private and can comfortably seat up to 250 guests with the dance floor and 300 without the dance floor. It is extremely popular and a perfect venue for wedding receptions, birthday parties, corporate functions and reunions. The venue has full bar and toilet facilities, a smoking lounge, a dance area and stage.

Born and raised in Pietermaritzburg (and still here!) my career started in the IT field. After 9 years in the industry I took the plunge to pursue my love of photography. I love every minute of what I do, I am personally invested in every photo that I take, every moment that is captured. I am happily married to Graeme, the most patient man on this planet! And I have two wonderful, busy children (Cole and Tayla) who keep me on my toes and who remind me constantly to be a better person. I take an inordinate number of photos of them, some of which I sometimes post on my blog.

The ambience, convenience and extensive safe parking available all contribute to making the Royal Showgrounds an eminently suitable - and popular - functional venue.  It is for these reasons that some 12 000 guests are hosted each month to as many as 50 differing functions.The versatility of the Society's many indoor facilities is aptly illustrated by the variety of functions catered for. In one sense a hall can exude an almost utilitarian warehouse type appearance and within a few hours and a touch of artistry be transformed into a sophisticated banqueting venue.

CHC Catering has become particularly successful in three key areas; business functions, special occasions (in particular weddings) and daily meals and function catering for business. We attribute our success-to-date to the absolute passion that we put into everything that we do.
